Sisterhood Memories: Baking Apple Crisp

Today, Emma and I made a delicious apple crisp together. It was fun to bake together and will be a memory that I will enjoy entertaining someday when we aren't together all of the time. The apple crisp was warm, sweet, and had a nice thread of cinnamon wafting throughout the dish. Served with vanilla ice cream, this would taste absolutely amazing! We ate it with pumpkin ice cream, and it was still extremely delicious. Very harvesty.

If you would like the recipe for this tasty crisp, here is the link. This crisp is super easy to make, so anyone could make this. Have a blessed day!

Commedia del Arte

Today, I performed in a fall showcase for my acting class. The class I took was Commedia del Arte, and it was so much fun! It's a special kind of acting, because it's totally improvised. There is no script, but we do know what we have to say in each scene and what the plot line is. Professional actors in Commedia only know the plot. Commedia del Arte was popular during the Italian Renaissance, and uses the same characters in each play (which are referred to as stock characters). My character's name was Columbina, a servant to the female love interest in the play, Isabella. Columbina is kind of sassy and is a strong female character. I had so much fun acting as her! Here is the crazy makeup and the outfit that I wore as Columbina.

I hope you enjoyed reading about Commedia del Arte!
