Today was an absolutely crazy day! I woke up at eight am, exhausted from (I'm guessing) my run yesterday with my mom. I'm hoping that by running, my lower half of my body will tone up some. I'm excited about that! Anyways, I woke up, and my mom and I took Emma to her friend's house. After we dropped her off, Mom and I took off to go shopping for my mom's mother-of-the-bride dress. We found one at David's Bridal that we loved. It's a taupe color, and has a bunch of sparkles on the dress. Very pretty.:) After we bought her the dress, we did some more shopping in other random places like Toys R Us.
After a while, we decided that we would go to the grocery store and pick up some supplies for our Easter brunch tomorrow. Since we were in an unfamiliar part of time, so my mom used Siri on her iPhone to try and find a grocery store nearby. It took us THREE tries to find a store! First, Siri took us to an Albertsons- but Albertsons had just gone out of business! Next, she took us to a Stater Bros that had been turned into a Dollar Tree. At this point, we were thinking that Siri needed to update! Then Siri told us to go down a street, then to turn left "in ten feet." That was where the Stater Bros was supposed to be. And instead there was an entire neighborhood! I asked mom, "Did this Stater Bros turn into a neighborhood??" We laughed so much! It was nuts!!!
Now, after a long day of shopping and driving around, I'm sitting on the couch, watching Fashion Star with my mom and Emma. I hope you all have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday tomorrow! I'm so glad to be celebrating Jesus' Resurrection, instead of His death, like on Good Friday. We went to church on Good Friday, and it was a nice service. Sometime, I don't much like Good Friday, because Jesus was killed and tortured on that day. But I realize that we couldn't have salvation from our sins unless Good Friday happened. And we couldn't have a big celebration about Jesus coming back from the dead unless Good Friday happened! So even though Good Friday may make me think about the terrible things my Savior went through, I remember that He went through it for ME! He loves me (and you) soooooo much, that He hung on a cross and took on the ENTIRE world's sins and wrong doings on Himself so that you and I can live with Him someday when we die. He redeemed me from sin on that day- Good Friday. That makes it a really good Friday!
You can accept this free gift of salvation for yourself if you would like. If you honestly want Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you from all of your sins, then just say this prayer (out loud, or in your heart- Jesus always hears you, even when you say nothing!). Jesus, please forgive me from my sins. Come into my heart and make me like you. Thank you so much for dying on the cross for my sins. Thank you so much for loving me so much as to die a horrible death like that for me.
And that's it! Welcome to the family of Christ! There is so much to learn about being a member of this family, but there are Christians everywhere! If you have accepted Jesus into your heart, please let me know- either comment below or email me at the email address on my profile. Happy Resurrection Sunday!
Now for some photos from my day.:)
I can't believe that they put this sign in the bathroom. Wait for pictures!
Eww....
I wondered what was down this hallway in the bathroom- a hallway in the bathroom?!?!?!
The hallway contained a spinny chair, and some big empty boxes. Totally anti-climactic!
