Today we went to out French lesson at our family friend's house. She has the Rosetta Stone curriculum downloaded to her computer, and we live nearby, so we just hop over to her house to use her computer! It works out. Here are some cute pictures of our friend's cat Toulouse- he's named after the Aristocats' kitten Toulouse.
After our time at our friend's house, we went home and prepared for our acting showcase. A showcase is just like a recital, just by a different name. Emma and I have been taking acting, singing, and/or dancing classes for the past ten weeks, and our showcase was tonight. Emma was in a Willy Wonka scene where she acted as Violet. Her class was a singing, dancing, and acting class. As for me, I got to perform in a scene from Our Town (rather, a couple of scenes combined into one). My role was Mrs. Gibbs, the wife of Doc Gibbs. To find out more about Our Town, Wiki it!:) My class was an acting class.
When I act, I feel confident in myself. I might be nervous that I will forget my line, but I still feel confident that I could cover it up! At auditions, I get SOO nervous for singing, less nervous for dancing, and least nervous for acting. When I act, I just feel confident! It's one of the few things I am confident about. The other things I'm confident in, are God's unfailing love for me, and my fashion sense.;) I may not always be up to trend, but I know what's in, and I feel good about my style!
Anyways, these are some pictures of the stage we performed on, Emma's class' performance, and the audience.
If you look closely at this following picture, you will see at the far left side, a blue swathed figure. That is Emma acting as Violet.:)
The guy at with the front of the picture (with the pen behind his ear), is my acting teacher.

I think I did well in my performance. I remembered all of my lines and blocking (movement across the stage), and projected! So I feel good about my performance. But I was sad when it was all over, because I know that I won't see all of the people in my class together in that same way ever again. I am a super sentimental person, so when things are over and done, I get kinda sad. I don't cry or anything, I just feel it in my heart. But then there is the upside to it- a new class to take, new memories to make, and new friends to meet! If you ever feel down like that, just remember that there is hope! And if you are a believer in Christ, there is ETERNAL hope. Sometimes, I need to remember that too. And since I'm a believer in Christ, I can have an eternal hope and fire lit in my heart- and Satan isn't going to destroy that fire, no matter what he throws at me.
